Mentorship That Shapes Your Career

Florida qualified supervision for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns—advanced clinical training, honest mentorship, and private practice development.
Meridian

I still remember graduating with a passion for helping people and a dream of building my own private practice.

What I lacked wasn’t motivation—it was guidance.

I longed for someone who would invest in me, challenge me, encourage me, and teach me how to become not only a better clinician, but also a person of integrity. I wanted someone who would help me develop sound clinical judgment, navigate difficult cases, grow in confidence, and understand what it truly means to care for people well.

Much of that journey I had to navigate on my own.

Meridian’s supervision program was born from that experience.

Our Philosophy of Supervision

Clinical supervision is about far more than fulfilling licensure requirements. It is about developing therapists who combine clinical excellence with humility, wisdom, compassion, and integrity.

At Meridian, we believe becoming an exceptional therapist requires more than learning techniques. It requires continual personal growth, thoughtful self-reflection, a commitment to lifelong learning, and the courage to pursue truth with humility.

Our goal is not simply to prepare clinicians for independent licensure, but to help cultivate therapists who will faithfully serve their communities for decades to come.

Nine areas of mentorship

Clinical case consultation

Evidence-based treatment and case conceptualization

Trauma-informed and attachment-oriented care

Ethical decision-making and professional identity

Thoughtful integration of Christian faith for those who desire it

Documentation and clinical best practices

Confidence in difficult clinical situations

Private practice education and business development

Leadership, character, and lifelong professional growth

Meridian

Approved supervision for Registered Interns

As a Florida Qualified Supervisor, I am approved by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling to provide clinical supervision for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns pursuing independent licensure.

Through Meridian Counseling Associates, interns receive supervision that counts toward the Florida Board’s supervision requirements for licensure while also benefiting from intentional mentorship, advanced clinical training, and professional development designed to prepare them for a lifetime of ethical and effective practice.

While meeting the Board’s supervision requirements is an important milestone, my hope is that our time together equips you with far more than the required supervision hours. My desire is to help you develop the clinical judgment, professional confidence, and personal character needed to faithfully serve others for years to come.

"entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2 (ESV)

More Than a Checklist

I believe one of the greatest ways we can love our neighbors is by investing deeply in the therapists who will one day care for them. Every clinician who grows in wisdom, competence, and character has the opportunity to impact hundreds of lives throughout a lifetime of practice. In that way, mentorship becomes another expression of loving our neighbor.

My desire is not simply to help you become licensed. It is to help you become the kind of therapist your future clients will always be grateful they found.
